Are You Ready for L’Or Electric?
Dian Sastrowardoyo’s trip to the Cannes Film Festival 2012 caused quite a buzz. From the dazzling red carpet dress designed by Eddy Betty to her once in a lifetime experience being in the same picture frame with the famous Robert Pattinson. Now what do we get from her trip to Cannes? As an Indonesian, no trip is complete without bringing back some oleh-oleh for your friends and family. And, the ever so thoughtful Dian, didn’t forget to bring us a little something.
Remember Dian’s ravishing makeup at the Cannes Film Festival red carpet? It’s all from the new collection of L’Oreal Paris called L’Or Electric. I thought I would have to wait a long time to get my hands on them, but apparently, Dian brought some back with her, especially for us.
The new collection, L’Or Electric, consists of Mascara Lash Architect 4D, Color Riche and Open Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Quad that when combined together, will create an electrifying look.
If you’re wondering whether electric colours will suit our Asian skin, especially those with a middle to tan tone, Adi Adrian, official make-up artist at L’Oreal Paris said “I feel the electric colours are very suitable for Asian women. Caramel tone skin combined with bold colours create a harmonious blend that can radiate strength and confidence while providing a fresh and energetic effects on Indonesian women.” I couldn’t agree more with him. I always feel that the contrasting colour of electric actually lifts up my mood and also suits my medium skin tone perfectly. It looks just as lovely if you have fair skin. One of the examples is of course Dian’s look with L’Or Electric collection.
I’m so head over heels with Dian’s nail polish! Dian uses L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis in Sky Fits Heaven no. 611, which I will definitely snatch when they come to stores this July. They will be available in 15 shades and not only that, this nail polish includes gel elements that make the colours last long – up to 10 days in my case when I had the luxury to try the product at the press conference.
Dian also came back with new products from L’Oreal Paris that she included in her skincare arsenal during her Cannes trip. What is it? It’s the new L’Oreal Paris White Perfect Laser Series which consist of a day cream and essence. These products help to minimize and fade unwanted spots and help to brighten skin tone without having to go for laser treatments! So you get the benefit that mimics a laser treatment without going to a beauty clinic!
