Family Murders Attributed to ‘Sakit Hati’

A joint team of Police caught the suspected killers of the Purnabawa family on Tuesday.
The suspected family driver named Heru was arrested in his hometown of Situbondo, East Java. In addition to Heru, the officers also arrested his wife Anita Putu, who was also related to the murdered woman.
“Until now both suspects are still undergoing examination,” said Head of Denpasar Police Public Relations, Ida Bagus Sarjana, yesterday.
Sarjana explained that officers from the beginning suspected that the crime led to Heru. Therefore, there was a focused pursuit of him. Heru also believed that to perform the crime he was not alone, given that three vehicles belonging to the victim also disappeared. Heru admitted to police that he did not do it alone, but together with four companions. These four colleagues were all citizens of Probolinggo, East Java, two of whom are named Herman and Now.
Based on the examination with Heru and his wife Putu the motive for the cruel killing is attributed to sakit hati (bad feeling).
Heru admitted to killing his employer and family because of resentment and hurt. “Since my family lived in the same house, my only child was often scolded by the victims. In addition, during two months I was not paid by the employer,” he said.
