Legian Beach Festival 2013
Now in its seventh year, visitors to the Legian Beach Festival will once again be able to explore the wealth of cultural variety and heritage to be found in Indonesia as well as in Bali itself and a chance to join in all sorts of fun activities. The Festival will be held along the beachside road between Jalan Melasti and Jalan Padma, Legian, from September 5-8. One of the main attractions at the festival will be the many stands offering local crafts by highly skilled Balinese jewelers, sculptors and painters as well as clothes, shoes, bags, etc. Following the outstanding success of both the modern and traditional entertainment which brought in the crowds in 2012, Legian Beach Festival will again feature two stages, one at the Jalan Melasti end and one at the Jalan Padma end. There will be all sorts of activities like traditional dances and music from many parts of Indonesia, live music from musicians and singers such as Bali’s own ‘Ronaldgang’ blues & rock band, reggae band ‘Kingston Soul’ and the fusion band ‘Khatulistiwa. Regional Indonesian culinary delights from Bali (lawar, sate, babi guling), Sumatra (Padang), West Java, East Java amongst others. Legian Beach Festival’s aim is to add exciting new dimensions to both visitors and residents of Bali.
