Paperclip & Oka versus Korleon MCs...

You don’t gots to be from da ghetto to be Hip Hop, as was ably proven last Friday down at Hard Rock Café as local crew Korleon MCs was joined by Jakarta duo Paperclip and Oka.

Bali’s got its own click of B boys and girls these days and they’ve got some mad skillz when it comes to breaking and those other staples of hip hop culture grafitti and djing. As for the MCing, Korleon definitely had a rougher edge, while the two Jakarta boys veered towards a more R&B style – well, Indo pop really which probably accounts for their relative commercial success.
