After
a German TV Series “The Dream Hotel” filmed
in Bali a few weeks ago, it’s now the turn of French
cinema to use Bali as the paradisical location for one
of its films.
Last Wednesday, at Café Lotus in Ubud the shooting
of “Toute la Beaute du Monde” (literally All
the Beauty of the World) was underway, the latest film
by well-known French Director Marc Esposito.
Café Lotus is quite a popular spot for shooting,
offering a perfect Balinese set up and atmosphere with
its lotus pond and its amazing temple. The restaurant
was closed to the public from 5pm until the morning after.
Even the main road had to be closed for a while in order
to record a peaceful and tranquil surrounding.
Director Esposito and his crew have been shooting in
Bali and Lombok for 2 months already. After the success
of his last film “Le Coeur des Hommes” (The
Heart of Men) in 2003, talking about men and friendship,
Marc Esposito returns with a very romantic love story
which takes place between Paris, Lombok and Bali.
It is about a young woman who is still suffering after
the recent death of her husband. She meet someone who
will fall in love with her and will take her out of her
depression by showing her the beauty of the world, traveling
throughout Asia and by opening her heart to love again.
Marc Esposito is not only an important film director in
France but a journalist/writer too. In 1976, he collaborated
on the creation of the established Cinema Magazine “Premiere”.
“Toute la Beaute du Monde” features famous
French actors like Marc Lavoine, Zoe Felix, Herve Laribe,
Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Albane Duquercque and is a
Pierre Javaux Production
This film will be out in French Theaters in October 2005.
The movie will continue shooting for another week around
Ubud, next up: a party scene at the Bamboo Foundation
in Nyuh Khuning.C.B
