It seems to be quieter around
town now. Not so many bods roaming around the place like
a few weeks ago but it’s good. Nice to have a break
from the hectic nightlife. On another front though, this
past week hasn’t been quiet for us at all. We haven’t
stopped all week trying to finish FRV and this edition
of the Beat. Having a graphic designer disappear didn’t
help things either but somehow it all came together. I
want to thank all the guys and girls that help to get
this thing printed – definitely a great team.
The highlight last week was the semi and grand finals
of the Battle of the Bands at Hard Rock Café. Maybe
because I had a vested interest in being in the group
of judges and seeing every heat on the Monday nights for
the past 10 weeks but it was a load of fun and very entertaining.
There were some surprises and upsets along the way but
HRC is to be commended for their initiative. It continues
with another round of heats stating next Monday.
Halloween is on the way. Every year it pops its ugly
head up at this time of the year to get us on the streets
again. Come on, it’s been a while since you’ve
been out.
Let’s make it a big one and we hope to see you out
