 The
Circa III Fashionation & Dance party took place at
Kudeta on Saturday August 14th.
Kudeta is just such a fantastic venue for an event like
this; hundreds of people turned out to enjoy a spectacular
fashion show presenting the upcoming summer collections
of three of Indonesia’s leading couture designers:
Elise Seymour, Itang Yunasz and Oscar Lawalata. Sensational
evening dresses, funky streetwear, leopard print and pink,
denim, satin and lace, pinstripes, floral prints and polka
dots, handkerchief hems, rah-rahs, basques, sexy seamless
boxers, gingham and glamour.
This show had it all; and was further enhanced by energetic
dance routines and upbeat pop numbers performed live by
Indonesia’s very own ‘Shanty’.
The mood then progressed to trance-vibes and rich soulful
seduction, as Dutch Diva, Lex Empress, took to the stage
and enthralled the crowd with her haunting improvised
vocals. This charismatic lady has an amazing talent; she
is both alluring and exciting, and her mesmerising voice
just blows people away.
The Diva’s performance was followed by laser shows
and elevated dance-floor action to a profusion of uplifting
house sounds mixed by DJ’s Phil K, Donni 1, and
Billy the Kid.
And the beachside dance party rolled on, deep into the
